The Sauriol Cliff

The lonely bench on the cliff edge.

There is a spot in the Charles Sauriol Conservation Reserve on the Don River where you can sit on a park bench that hangs on the edge of a cliff. This spot is home to what could possibly be Toronto’s most isolated park bench. To get to the bench you must either traverse over train tracks then climb a steep hill or edge along a fence that hangs over the crumbling cliff. Neither is an easy task but the views over the valley is fantastic. This has become one of my favourite afternoon spots to watch the dying sun. Below are a few pics I’ve taken recently from around that area.
